Privacy

Players

Playing needs no account. Bzzt keeps the nickname you choose and your score with the host's record of the game, so use a nickname rather than your full name. The host can delete that record at any time.

Hosts

An account holds your username, a hash of your password, your quizzes and your past games. Bzzt doesn't ask for your email address. You can delete a past game from its page, and your whole account from your settings at any time.

Cookies and logs

Bzzt only sets the cookies it needs to keep you logged in or in your game. It has no ads or analytics, and loads nothing from other sites.

Your IP address is used to limit repeated attempts. It's held in memory rather than stored with your account, but it can appear in the server's logs after a failed login.

Backups

Deleted data stays in the server's daily backups until they expire, for up to 14 days.
